Patrick Swayze
1952-2009
I kept an eye out for Patrick Swayze news partly because I always liked him, and also because one of my brothers is fighting the same disease.
Patrick fought his cancer with a brave and defiant dignity. My brother is doing the same thing.
When people die, we are reminded how short this life really is. Even with a brave heart, the miracles of modern medicine and support of our loved ones, in the end we are all subject to the confines of our own mortality.
What matters is how we live each moment.
To love, to care for others, to enjoy the precious gift of each moment whether spectacular or mundane is our distinct privilege....and our desperate choice.
Rest in Peace Patrick, and God bless you and your family.

I was really sad to hear about Patrick too.I'm religious, so I have to think that he's in a better place now with no pain & sickness.
I know how you feel, I lost my brother to cancer in 2005. He was the same age I am now,43.
I cant say we didnt see this coming but it still makes me sad to know he is no longer with us. He was a true allie to the gay community.
